On the north side of Main street the Masonic hall, a two story frame building the lower floor of which was used for a store room, was completely destroyed.
Frame building occupied by Boge Erwin and family, complete destroyed.
Store house also occupied as a living room by Mr. Johnson completely destroyed.
Frame store house of J.B. Thomas hardware and furniture dealer, demolished.
Postoffice building belonging to J. S. Wagner and also adjoining building occupied as barbershop by Mr. Wagner, destroyed.
J.E. Gibson, grocery store, complete loss. Fire originated here and destroyed several other buildings.
Dry goods store of A. J. Cline, building unroofed and contents badly damaged.
Melissa National Bank building unroofed. Relief committees are using the building for headquarters.
C.R. Osburn, brick drug store building completely demolished.
Interurban station brick, loss total.
Grocery store of Pat F. Loftice completely destroyed.
Three vacant frame houses belonging to outside party, destroyed.
G.A. Covington, restaurant building partially destroyed.
Tailor shop, total loss.
J.L. Davis grocery store and general merchandise, completely destroyed.
A.J. Commons, produce house, partially destroyed.
E. O. Knox garage building. Knox and Hart, grain office, partial loss.
Will McBee stock barns, completely destroyed.
Claud Robinson, blacksmith shop, loss total.
