For two and three miles on the roads from Melissa to McKinney the roads were lined with automobiles. The cars lined up so thickly that they could not be turned around to come back to McKinney. This long line of cars also prevented other people from getting to Melissa. For many hours the owners of the cars worked slowly to get the cars out to return home.
