A young Negro man was at his home in Melissa when the cyclone struck that town, in speaking of his experience during the cyclone, said that he was in his house, which was totally wrecked, After the storm struck the house the next thing he remembers was recovering his senses in a little grove nearly a quarter of a mile from his home. Just how he got there he does not know but from the bruises and lacerations on his body it is presumed that he was blown to the latter place. He was so glad to be alive that he let doctor sew up the ugly wounds on his hand without even flinching.
