F.E. White of New York City , a traveling man who was in McKinney last night stated that he was at Celina Wednesday afternoon during the terrific hail storm which did much damage to that little town. Mr. White stated that he, with several others took refuge under a porch. He said it was the largest fall of hail he had ever seen. A Celina business man stated Mr. White brought some of the hail stone into the hotel. They were about the size of a billiard ball, according to Mr. White and four of them when placed on scales weighed four ounces each. Mr. White said some of the larger stones were almost beautiful with small jewel like crystals surrounding them. A team of mules on the street Mr. White said were severely pelted by the hail stones. He also stated that some of the larger stones penetrated house tops.
